Phun Phonts
Unofficial True Type font support for the Phun application. I created this application
because I wanted small amounts of text within the Phun
application (such as 'On' & 'Off'), however as of August 2008 Phun does not provide any text support.

Instructions
- Type a short sentance.
- Save file as a Phunlet (preferably into the Phunlet directory)
- Switch to the Phun application and Import the Phunlet.
- Fix any misalignments, finished!
Features
- Uses the True Type fonts installed on your computer.
- Unique Spline Resolution setting allow you to create extra low-resolution True Type
fonts.
- Saves directly to the Phunlets file format, making it easy to import into Phun.
Known Problems
Phun Phonts v1.0 has known problems. Many of these problems arise because the Phun
application wants to perform simulations on the individual letters of a sentance,
and thus needs to know their centre of gravity. True Type font designers never took
into account the 'Centre of Gravity' when designing the fonts, thus it's difficult
for me to make the sentance look perfect.
- Not all fonts will import correctly. For instance the letter 'k' on the the font
'Times New Roman' is constructed in such a manner that Phun will not accept it.
The only known work-around is to use a different font. If you really want
the letter 'k' in Times New Roman, then create your own application because I can't
do it!
- Sentances will not line up correctly. After importing the Phunlet, you will need
to manually move individual letters to their correct location. This part really
depends on the font in use, some fonts (like LCD) are terrible! Others like Verdana
are pretty good.
- Some letters (with more than two polygons like, Q, R, O, P, A, D, B, etc) will require
you to 'Fixate' the two polygons together so that they look right. They will also
be misaligned slightly. Within the Phun application, change the Opacity of the Fixate
icon so that it looks good.
- May cause Phun application to crash during import, or save. I suggest treating the
imported text with slight suspicion until a successful save.
